THE REBOUND

Move back in a roughly opposite direction after an impact.

According to me, rebound is something we settle for when we fail to have what we ever wanted.

THEN

Remember as a child?  When we lost or broke a toy, we would cry and cry whole day. Eventually,  we would settle for some other toy and forget about the previous one. Well, we actually never forget about that toy. It will always remain our favourite toy. We just ignored it, coz even the memories of it would give us pain.

NOW

Apparently, toys have been replaced by people. We lose people. We get betrayed, or things just end, because they are not meant to be. Or in some cases things don't end, but the relation changes..

You see, this is when, we find something or someone(that other toy) that makes you realise that world has not ended. It is like a new hope.

And oh does it feel real..! We won't even know what hit us! It is because it.. it is like morphine.. it makes you feel soo good. It would feel like you have got a reason to live. Sometimes it would become your obsession.

Sorry to break the dream. But its a rebound. 

REALITY CHECK

Rebounds are not bad, NO.
If something that makes you feel better, how can it be bad?
But there's a thing, a rebound in most cases.. ends.

The toy, which replaced your favourite one, you would play everyday with it, love it like the favourite one, maybe  even more. If toys had those feelings like in toy-story, it would love you back.  But then, some fine day maybe, it would be in the list of normal toys. You would eventually forget it.

Same is the case here. However good it makes you feel,  someday you will stop feeling that. When?

When it compensates the pain of you losing that person. As I said, its like morphine, its effect WILL end.

So please think over before going for the rebound. Not that it will do any good. You would still go for it. It will be so appealing and as I said! You won't know.
Sometimes the replacement turns out to be better than what we lost,and the rebound effect never wears off. Or actually it becomes more than just rebound.

People, don't be hard on yourself.  Emotions always have an edge over our physical and mental abilities. What is going to happen will happen. Donot repent. I hope you never lose your favourite toy.

And if you do, I hope the rebound is worth it.
