The "PINK" Dilemma

So there is this colour called "pink" associated with a gender called Female.

I ask, why? Does male gender have a colour associated to them.  Blue? Sure. But one won't deny if I would say green or violet or any colour.  Because we don't have it.

So why do girls have pink? Shall I call it discrimination? Racism? Or to make them feel "special"

The thing is, pink is a not just a colour.  I mean sure they all like it. They have pink filled wardrobe.  Most of them. But hey? Why dedicate a whole colour to them? Are they so special? Or.. is it a gift from society. A curse?

Girls, do you feel special? 
It is not wrong to feel special or get attention or getting extra care. But please make sure it is not out of sympathy or an act of male-cious thinking.

We have these certain "rules" in our society which suggests that male are superior. We might talk crap about gender equality and all but those certain crappers.. uh..sorry.. what was the name?  Never mind. (Can't arrest me! I didn't give a name).

Yeah, so point being, as much as we talk we don't implement.

Talking about India,  Our parents don't let girls out in middle of the night.  Their work, Their fun-time, Their Life always comes with a deadline.  23:00. Or even early.

Okay. Dear parents what do you think?  Why the time constraint? For your daughter's safety?  Well guess what..making them feel that they are not equals is a crime on your part.  Can you possibly live with that?

Okay they might get fuckin raped?! Err.. sorry to use bad language in front of you girls -.-  Where are my manners?!

"Something might happen to them". Well, don't send your sons as well.  Why? Umm they might also rape someone!  Oh.. They are too good to do that? Umm what if a girl provokes him?!

You would say.. then let not girls be out after 23:00. Aargh!! Mahaan ideology.  Salute.
Point to be taken.  Girls gets assaulted. Her fault.  Guy assaults girl.  Girl provoked. Girl alone?  No security.  Was with guy? Why? Her fault. 1 point to mindless societal freaks.

But why not talk some sense in your sons!?. What ? Is it too weird to talk? 

I see. That's why the easy way. Just let your daughter live a life where she is allowed to do everything but there's always a "but".

NOTE FOR GUYS.

Boys.  Stop being so testosterone-y. It is not just about rapes. When we talk of equality, it doesn't mean that women will have what we have.  No. Equality without considering capacity is pointless. Show some respect.  Some sense of responsibility. But NOT out of sympathy or some sense of doing a favour. Ehsaan mat karo. Help. But don't impose. When a girl imposes rights on you, you feel that your valour is hurt. Stop being dramatic. This is 21st Century. Be practical.  You want to make her feel special?  Don't pull a chair for her or open a car's door. Just believe in what she believes. When we got freedom, WE got freedom. Not only guys. Let her live freely.

NOTE FOR GIRLS

Girls, at some point,  it is your fault. NO. don't take me wrong. I know that it isn't your fault if someone assaults you. I am saying it other way. If you really believe in gender equality, don't let boys impose their right on you.  You wanna make a mistake?  Go ahead make one. Society will always say something. Just LIVE. Sometimes the things we do, implies what we want. So next time, split the bill. Next time pay the guy who drops you.  Aisa lagne hi mat do ke ehsaan kar raha hai.

Lastly, we have this dilemma, girls are weak. Also, people would defend that we consider girls as an asset. Paraya dhan they say. Like money.  Well? WHY? Some crappy rules that. Also, they are considered goddesses.  Who are we to control the almighty then?!
Let the dilemma go off the hook.
Grow people.

Society has flaws. Because.. human have flaws. We made the "samaaj" or zamaana. Toh wo kya sochenge.. don't bother. 

Mental note: Better choose a side.Wait! what's the point of equality then?
